Is FootNote available now?
Not yet. FootNote is currently in development and preparing for its first production run. Reservations let you secure a place among the first customers.
What does my reservation do?
It reserves your place among early customers and helps us demonstrate real demand for FootNote as we plan manufacturing.
Is my deposit applied to the purchase?
Yes. Your $49 CAD reservation deposit is intended to be credited toward your FootNote purchase.
When will FootNote ship?
We're currently preparing for production and won't promise a shipping date until manufacturing timelines are certain. Reservation holders will receive manufacturing and expected delivery updates as they become available.
Will I automatically be charged the balance?
No. You'll be asked to confirm your purchase before any remaining balance is collected. Your reservation never turns into a charge without your explicit confirmation.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel your reservation and get a full refund of your deposit at any time before you convert it into a final production order. Just email hello@footnotepedal.com with your reservation number. See the reservation terms for details.
Does FootNote require a subscription?
No subscription is needed for the pedal's local functionality — playing your synced setlists, backing tracks, click and cue audio, lyrics and chords, and the HDMI display and local mobile viewer. Your purchase is planned to include one year of FootNote online services; some cloud-connected services may require a FootNote subscription after that included period. We'll publish the details of what's included before you're asked to complete a purchase.
Does FootNote need internet during a performance?
No. Core pedal playback doesn't depend on venue internet, and the display and mobile viewer are designed to work over the local FootNote connection. Some cloud functions you use while preparing content in FootNote Studio may need internet access.
